Walton Civic Service

The annual parish Civic Service returned to Walton after a break of two years due to Covid. The service took place at The Church of St John the Evangelist in Higher Walton village on Sunday 20th March and was led by Revd Anita Raggett and attended by Walton Parish Councillors; Cllr Maureen Creaghan, Mayor of Warrington and MP for Warrington South, Andy Carter. Following the service, brunch was served in the Community Church Hall. Cllr. Sharon Harris, the current Chair of the Parish Council, presented her Annual Report developments in the parish including the work of the Betterment Committee and the recently formed Climate and Ecological Action Group. Sharon also thanked those who had supported the work of the parish council over the year.
