PARISH LATEST NEWS                  *IMPORTANT*     Warrington Borough Council                  LOCAL PLAN     Preferred Development Option   CLOSING DATE FOR PUBLIC RESPONSE 29th SEPTEMBER 2017 As some residents will be aware, Warrington Borough Council (WBC) are currently consulting on the first stage of new Local Plan called the Preferred Development Options Plan (PDO). This will decide the development of Warrington over the next 20 years. Part of the Plan includes creating an urban area in the countryside south of the Manchester Ship Canal to Chester Road and the Bridgewater Canal.  The plan proposes 1800 new houses, a primary school and a medical facility being built on what is currently ‘Green Belt’ land. This means there will be no gap between Warringon and Halton.   It is important that WBC are made aware of the individual views of RESIDENTS.  ‘People Power’ in the past has proven to be the most sucessful way of getting things changed.  It is VITAL therefore that YOU raise YOUR OWN concerns directly with WBC. A copy of our letter which is currently being delivered to all parish residents is available UPDATE - We have created some bullet points detailing some of the negative effects we feel WBC’s proposals will have in our local area. Residents may, if they wish, use these in their response to the consultation along with their own. They are available to view
